Q: I have a garden project in my backyard, and I'd like to build a 2' tall by 10' long retaining wall. Can you help?
A: Probably not. Hilfiker Retaining Walls primarily manufactures large-scale, industrial retaining wall systems for roads, highways, bridges and projects for the mining industry. Unless you are located in fairly close proximity to our manufacturing plant in northern California, it would most likely be cost-prohibitive to supply such a small-scale project in a cost-effective manner. If you are local, please feel free to contact us to discuss how we might be able to help.
Q: Where do you market and sell your retaining wall systems?
A: Hilfiker Retaining Walls markets and sells our systems primarily
in the western United States including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana,
Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, as well as the remaining
United States and Internationally. Our wall systems have been built in countries all over the world, including
Africa, Japan, Siberia, and South America.
Q: Who markets and sells your retaining wall systems and gabions in Canada?
A: Atlantic Industries Ltd. is licensed to market and sell the Hilfiker Patented Systems and ArtWeld Gabions exclusive throughout Canada, excepting large crusher walls in mines in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Q: Where do you sell Gabion Baskets?
A: We can sell our ArtWeld Gabions to any location in the United States and Internationally, except Canada (see Atlantic Industries above).
Q: What is the design life or service life of your wall systems (how long will a wall last)?
A: Normal service life for permanent structures is 50 - 100 years. By utilizing heavier and/or hot-dip galvanized wire, additional service life can be achieved. Service life is also dependent on a number of factors, such as soil conditions, loading and seismic factors. Significant cost savings can be realized if your application warrants a temporary MSE retaining wall, such as to facilitate staged construction. Wire would be provided as brite basic [non-galvanized]. Contact us to discuss the specifics of your application.
