Morococha, Peru Copper Project is a Welded Wire Wall Constructed in 2010.  The wall was designed by Tom Jepsen, P.E., and our technical representative was Tom Meehan, Earthtech West Ltd.

WALL GEOMETRY:

•    Welded Wire Walls, Crusher, Railroad, and Grinding Walls (Crusher Wrap Walls – 4 Angle Points)
•    32-year design life
•    Crusher Wall Uniform load surcharge of 905 psf for a CAT 797 Mine Haul Truck, confined to concrete aprons
•    Grinding Wall Uniform load surcharge of 11.8 kPa (250 psf)
•    Railroad Wall Uniform load surcharge for Cooper E-80
•    Maximum ground acceleration coefficient, A = 0.280
•    Maximum Wall Height of 114’
•    Maximum Mat Length of 90’ (achieved via splice)
•    8,200.75 SM of Welded Wire Wall Materials and 84 CY of ArtWeld Gabions
